Wikimedia's vision is an open and informed knowledge society. In order to take this one step closer, the foundation started to look for exciting ideas and approaches they can support with their brand new UNLOCK Accelerator program.

The three-month program provides support in developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) from the idea that were initially pitched. Coaches and external experts will guide participants through the entire program. The results will be presented at a Demo Day followed by discussions with the UNLOCK team on how the journey could continue.

Over 50 teams applied to the UNLOCK Accelerator with great ideas for free knowledge. Five of them were particularly convincing - they take part in UNLOCK's funding program and will receive professional coaching and scholarships. We are happy to announce that Audiopedia is one of the ideas that have been selected. Our goal is to use the guidance and momentum provided by the UNLOCK Accelerator to further develop Audiopedia into a platform of accessible, audible  and open knowledge.
